What will your job look like

  • Develop, test, implement, and maintain software applications based on business and technical requirements.
  • Analyze project specifications and convert functional requirements into efficient, scalable, and maintainable code.
  • Design program workflows, logic diagrams, and technical solutions using industry best practices.
  • Write clean, secure, and well-documented code using appropriate programming languages and frameworks.
  • Perform unit testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and code optimization to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Project Managers, clients, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Modify existing software applications to improve functionality, performance, and user experience.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare technical documentation, user guides, and operating instructions for developed applications.
  • Support software deployment, production releases, and post-implementation activities.
  • Monitor application performance and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies, programming methodologies, and software development best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with coding standards, security requirements, and organizational development processes.
  • Work effectively within Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall project environments.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers when required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8+ years of professional experience in software development and programming.
  • Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, C++, or similar technologies.
  • Experience in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Experience with databases, SQL, and data modelling concepts.
  • Knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and object-oriented programming principles.
  • Experience working with APIs, web services, and system integrations.
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK or willingness to relocate, where applicable.
